The 123math CD program initially began in 1971 and was designed and produced by Ken Cornett. He has been a teacher for over 30 years and holds his Master of Education degree in Curriculum Development and Educational Administration.

Over the years, Ken has produced many audio-visual programs to support local curriculum.

He has produced, to name a few:

  • Sound filmstrips of the Thunder Bay area and Old Fort William
  • 8 mm movie documenting river log drives
  • Slide programs of the grain elevators, weather stations and wildlife
  • 130 page photography instructional program that teaches film processing and parents to become instructors
  • A local environmental curriculum that teaches students reading, writing, math, science, history and wildlife using their immediate local environment

Ken’s most challenging curriculum course is the 123math CD program. He has developed and tested it over the last 30 years. This 1200 page document helps to bring students current with their basic facts regardless of their age.

Ken presents workshops and speaks at gatherings about teaching the basic facts and the 123math CD program.

His next project is to develop a 101 Reading / Learning program allowing a non-reader to become a functional (reading at the student's grade level) reader within 6 months: guaranteed.  This project has been written and tested.  We are now preparing the program for publishing.
