  1. Your child must have a sincere desire to Master their Basic Facts.
  2. Set aside a minimum of 15 minutes per day for your child to learn.
  3. Identify the starting point for your child.
  4. Have your child correct their assignments and identify any errors.
  5. Have your child record their assignment results on their "How Am I Doing" chart.
  6. Have your child review their errors (if there are any) and prepare for the next assignment.

1.   Your child must have a sincere desire to Master their Basic Facts.

For any program to be successful a student must want to learn. This positive attitude will lead to success. At times your child may feel discouraged because the learning is not going fast enough, but with this desire to learn success will always be achieved.

2.   Set aside a minimum of 15 minutes per day for your child to learn.

Set aside a minimum of 15 minutes daily for studying, writing and learning the Basic Facts. Your child's work and study habits will improve just by having a regular routine in their daily schedule.

The time should be scheduled the same time every day. These 15 minute periods will give your child a routine that they will look forward to and that can be fit into a busy schedule.

3.   Identify the starting point for your child.

Your child will be given a preliminary test that will identify their starting point in the program. Discussions with parents are also conducted to establish how their child has been doing in the past and some of the problems they have been encountering.

The starting point will vary for each child. We want your child to begin mastering their basic facts at their instructional level.

4.   Have your child correct their assignments and identify any errors.

After completing each assignment your child will at first have you correct their work with them. Once they understand the mechanics of the program they can begin to work independently, studying and correcting their work themselves under their parents' supervision.

5.   Have your child record their assignment results on their "How Am I Doing" chart.

Your child should record each assignment's results on the provided "How Am I Doing" chart. This chart will show their continual progress.

Your child will want to look at their chart every day to reassure themselves that they are "on the right track" and to know what they must do to advance to the next level.

6.   Have your child review their errors (if there are any) and prepare for the next assignment.

After each assignment your child will review their errors if they have any and begin studying for their next assignment.
